This is the mail ART that I sent to CJ… It’s a two part kaleidoscope. I call it the Wilde O Scope… for those of you who are The Importance of Being Earnest fans you might recognize the eyes. The larger part of the scope where the mirrors are is all papered in black and the white. The gems and doodads in the chamber are all black and white also… so when you look through it… black and white. The second part of the tube is all papered in colored strips and the things in the chamber are all done in color… when you slip the second tube over the first… you have COLOR…
I really enjoy making kaleidoscopes, they are just too much fun to play with while I’m doing them… The glass ones are usually a little classier though.
I wrapped the instructions around the scope, secured it with rubberbands and off it went.
Now, On to the next batch!

I put a frog in everything I do… So when you get your art… look for your frog.

I’m one of those people that sees things like this and says “now why don’t I do things like that?”. I’m also a jack of all trades and master of none, so I admire any one who finds something they love doing. The little frog idea is fun! My sister likes froggy things and I like turtle things. I made a kaleidoscope during RA Training! We didn’t get the decide what to put in it since they came in kits, everyone had similar things to put in (we only decorated the outside). It doesn’t work that well because the section with the glitters and shapes are made of plastic that is not well divided and the space was too small for the things to move around. Your design is very cool though!
I also think that it is interesting that you put a frog in everything you make! It’s like your signature in another form!
As for mail art (I don’t know why I have an opinion, or something to say about everything!) have you ever checked out swap-bot?

Funny invention. A kaleidoscop for color-blind that not color-blind can also use !
What means : “I put a frog in everything” ? I search on Google but find only the story with the frog in the boiling water etc Has this expression something to do with this experiment ?

There used to be a frog on every can of old style beer as well, don’t know if they still do that or not.
