Chihuly had a big exhibit here at the Dayton Art Institute a few years back It was really cool, except I doubt he’ll do it again here…one of his pieces was stolen. Great security, I guess, which is kind of scary since we have some great pieces of art from some of the masters.
Love the onion ring car. Reminds me of a place I used to go to whenver I was in Tampa on business. It was called The Dogwater Cafe and their thing was that they served all of your food in dog bowls of various sizes. Their slogan was “We treat you like the dog you are”. They were sort of like Hooters with out the the slinky outfits….loved the concept though.

Onion rings and chili dogs? If I could eat that life WOULD indeed be good..lol
Have a marvelous weekend!
That looks like the Chihuly show I saw in St. Louis. I’ve seen a couple of his shows now and I really think he does some marvelous stuff.
Beautiful! I especially love the first two photos. Simply gorgeous! I love your blog, by the way. Great stories, cool pictures and fabulous art. You appear to be quite the artist. Is that your “thing”? How long have you been doing that? I look forward to getting to know you.
RYC: Yeah. Sometimes I teach the kids in my class a song (it helps them learn English) and I also teach gospel at a local church. Japanese people love learning gospel music. They especially love “Oh, Happy Day!” (probably because of the “Sister Act” movies ).
Yes I’m back for the moment. I kicked an unmovable object in taekwondo….the floor. My doctor says no more..sigh. So I’m back for a little bit until I find a new hobby. Maybe belly dancing. Sounds fun. Also I’ve been catching up on your blogs… I would love some mail art!!! That is the funnest thing I’ve heard lately!!! Moving this weekend, I’ll let you know when I figure out what my address is and send me yours too!
mmmm, onion rings.
I loooove Chihuly. My friend worked at this place (links below) a couple summers ago. I don’t know why I didn’t have her sneak me in to see all of this stuff.. I think that’s the summer I went to fat camp.
oh gosh.. onion rings… I wish I can have some of those right now… you making me hungryyyy!
Chilli dogs and onion rings….mmmmm. Beats this toast I’m munching for brekkie, anyday! The glass work is unusual, love the first pic Have a great weekend lady!
We have a restaurant called “Yesterdays” that gives cars for a plate to children. RYC: I hope peace comes but something is on the horizon that’s not good.
that’s a good pick of my beard!
I must be an idiot. The problem is I can’t find the html of the youtube video to start with. You still get good karma.

Onion rings— yummy! Cute car they are in too!!
Thanks for the warm wishes. It appears that I’ve missed a boat load of your blogs. Life’s been a little too fast-paced lately.
Those onion rings look amazing . . .
We have a Chihuly (did I spell that right?) exhibit at our local Children’s Museum that I keep meaning to go have a look at in person. It is awesome on television. Maybe you need to take a road trip to Indy and we can check it out and meet in actual person.
