  • I have been tagged… by haynes94, To list my top five vacations taken.

    1.  Lenexa, Kansas- Salt Lake City, Utah… and everywhere in between. We went to The Dinosaur National Monument and several dinosaur and natural history museums. we drove through mountain ranges and hit truck stops. It was cool. I love a good road trip.
    2. Sandusky, Ohio… We met my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin Frank at Cedar Point, One of my favorite places. It was Charlie and Isabelle’s first time at the park, my eleventh. (hehehe). We had great fun.
    3. Traverse City, MI-from Provo, Ut… Drove cross country in 22 hours in  a car with four guys. My turn to drive I hit one hundred and ten miles an hour in a Dodge Neon crossing Wyoming. Great fun.(Ben was one of the guys… lol)
    4. Alaska, all of it, well almost… When I was younger I lived for a summer with my Aunt and Uncle in AK. Every weekend I was there we were on the road. We went every where the road would take us. It was beautiful.
    5. St. Augustine, Fl… Went with my Mamala when I as a bit younger and without children. I loved waking up in the morning and watching the dolphins from the beach. The churches are gorgeous. It is just a great place and anytime I go some where with my Mom its always a wonderful trip.

That’s all of my very favorites but there are so many more… trips to Chicago with my Mom and sister, Toronto with my sister and cousin. Cross country and down the East Coast with my parents when I was little, a trip I plan on doing with my own kids in a couple of years.

I can’t wait I hope there’s so much more to come. I want to travel out of the country. Canada and Mexico don’t count. I’d like to go to New Zealand, Turkey, Jordan… Petra is on my life list and The Great wall of China, Goa, India… Lets see… I could go on and on and on and on…

Tag… I tag Seedsower, meganbarnard, MotherOpearl, Leonidas, and LilianyB

  • I love road trips the best!!! Dave and I had the best time visiting Lisa and her family and the Amish cousins….Will post Friday!

  • I wish I had the means to travel, there are soooo many places I’d like to see.

  • So many places I’d love to see, but without the time or money; its all pipe dreams.

  • I stayed in Sandusky on my way home from Chicago.

  • Since the airlines have been so flaky, we generally stick to going to places we can drive to. If I was going to fly somewhere it would be to Tokyo, Belgium, Amsterdam or Poland. Domestically I’d like to go to Alaska on a cruise.

We’ve been to St. Augustine a few times but only went into the fort once.  It was about a 2 hr drive from where we lived.

    Have a good one!

  • I lived in St. Augustine for a semester, I went to Flagler but it was too far from home. My grandparents and aunt live near Salt Lake City, Utah, so I love going there to visit.

  • Ohh I wanna go on a cruise….

Shirlann are trying to work in a girls trip to the Bahamas…i think that might jump up top on the list when it happens! lol

Ohhhhhh Happpppy Hummmmmmp Day!!! ( siad in voice of Long Duck Dong oof Sixteen Candles, “Ohhhh seeeexy giiiiiiiirrrrrrlllllfriend!!”) LOL
     I am dork!

  • Yes, she is a dork. You’re lucky you don’t have dancing cows for her to spam you with.

Glad you finally submitted to your tagging! The only reason I didn’t tag you is because it was too late… you’d already been gotten. Cool trips. It’s fun to see WHY a particular trip stands out for someone.

  • RYC: OHHHHHHH REALLY…no dancing cows for you huh? I will just SPAM you with my perverted behavior!! LOL

  • :dancing cow:

    this is a test….

  • Agree – I’d have a much more interesting list of places I’d like to go.

  • Alaska – I heard that’s really beautiful.   RYC:  interesting -

  • Yup, it was Christmas story!! Not only are you a talented artist but you’ve got excellent taste in movies!!!!

  • I love traveling too and hardly get the opportunity to go anywhere besides NY. I’m not complaining cuz I luv NYC.

RYC: Yes. I loved them. Particulary the lego one. I will be going to the Whitney to their Art-o-Mat and when I go to Chicago I will check out theirs as well.

  • I love to go anywhere

  • One of your top 5 vacations is in Ohio?  I realize it’s Cedar Point, but… OHIO??    I’ll have to tell my daughter.  She thinks there’s absolutely nothing of interest in this state.  LOL

    Trish

  • I would love to have been all the places you’ve been…. it’s not where you go, it’s who you go with, right?

  • thanks for the tag ang – lol!  Okay, so I did it, but it was VERY boring, trust me – lol!

  • Hey, stopping by was my pleasure.

I can’t believe you as a parent had that discussion! That’s too funny. With the change of generations, “which order do we show Star Wars” is going to be the new “social security” issue. Just you watch ;)

Haha, yeah, Canada and Mexico don’t really count. If anywhere, I’d recommend New Zealand or China from your list. Not that I’ve been there, but I hear it’s worth it.

  • wow, that’s a long list….. You’ll need alot of Vitamin Ms for all the places :S (Vitamin Money) heh.

  • Top Five vacations or places where I have been:

    5. Aculpoco, Mexico. Beautiful beaches, Old Spanish Forts and a troop of guys who dive off cliffs at night. Amazing scenery, Aztec ruins.

    4. Chattanooga, Tennessee- Lookout Mountain where standing in one point you can see seven states. Ruby Falls (an underground waterfall over 100 ft tall), Freshwater museums with seahorses, Civil war Parks. Go to Sticky Fingers on Sunday for all you can eat ribs for under $10.

    3. Phoenix, Arizona- Close to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff in the mountains, old indian reservations and relics.

    2. Kyoto, Japan- Japanese castles, cherry blossom orchards, shinto temples, majestic rock gardens…the sites are too numerous to count and some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth.

    1. Brisbane, Australia- Hands down one of the wildest towns I have ever been in. Beautiful beaches, great people, Summer BBQ’s, awesome shopping and a blast. If I could relocate and move anywhere it would be Brisbane…

  • Thanks for playing!

Scott and I went to St. Augustine– we loved it!!  (We went for our 10th wedding anniversary!)

  • Yay for Cedar Point. First roller coaster I ever went on was there about 40yrs ago. (way before the awesome ones they have now)

  • Sigh.  So many places I’d love to see.  So few that I’ve had the opportunity to visit thus far  . . .
