Having a great time. Went to the ArtOMat and will post pictures later. The internet connection here is very iffy, sometimes it works but mostly it doesn’t. So I’ll post more tomorrow. Basically been going none stop and loving it. Ang

Apparently you have to be awake at three thirty in the morning to upload photos here… So here are my most recent ArtOMat purchases.
This guy has information on the back of his card telling what he is and eats. He’s a chicken zombie, a former oven roaster with no insides…
I am not a big fan of Legos myself having stepped on way too many of them in the last few years, but I couldn’t resist this one. Now I have to keep Charlie away from it. He kept picking it up and eyeballing it.For some reason the machine had almost all sculptural stuff in it this time. I was hoping for some good photography or painting… Oh well I guess that means I’ll have to go back next time. Oh the hardship.
Alright so this post has taken an hour to do… I think I’ll try to sleep again. Hope you all having sweet dreams. Ag

Fun times, it seems. I want a full description of what the heck an Artomatic is, okay? I may have lived in Michigan once upon a time; but that one escapes me. How far is it from your neck of the woods to DEEEtroit anyway?

the one on the website with monkey astronauts is my favorite one to look at – I still need to submit something to those fuckers before 2007 expires.
I miss the old machines. I had a 1952 model Coke vending machine. My cousin had it in his garage, back when a bottle of Coke was a dime. Then it went to 15 cents and, being a mechaic, he fixed it to accept that amount. Eventually it went over 25 cents and he had to replace the machine, so he removed the racks and used it as a refrigerator by his pool. In 1980 he sold it to me for $25. I swapped it for a 2 band 1853 Enfield rifle about 1996 or so.

Okay, thanks a lot… I’m a non-art person; and I’ve spent the last 20 minutes perusing the Art-o-Matic site! Do you know there’s one in Louisville, where my parents live & I go pretty frequently? There’s also one here in Atlanta and several between here and the Outer Banks, where we’ll be going on vacation… I may become an art collector yet! LOL!

the legos are pretty damn cool, but that box looks weak compared to other boxes I’ve seen.

Ok, so I found out Winston-Salem (Where I live!) has tons of these machines everywhere! I vow to track one down and make one!

Hope you’re having a great time…that zombie chicken is a riot. How is Ben doing? Is it like Lord of the Flies at your house yet? Sucks about the net connections. We lived in a hotel for almost two months and everynight the dozen Verizon phone guys that were also staying there would upload/download their job orders and the connection slowed to a crawl. W hated it ’cause at night was the only time I was home with the laptop.
Looking forward to seeing pics from the trip.
