This question hadn’t occurred to me until in high school when I read one of my all time favorite books, Still Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins
WHY DOES YOUR PEE SMELL WHEN YOU EAT ASPARAGUS?
“Asparagus contains a sulfur compound called mercaptan, It is also found in onions, garlic, rotten eggs, and in the secretions of skunks. The signature smell occurs when this substance is broken down in your digestive system. Not all people have the gene for the enzyme that breaks down mercaptan, so some of you can eat all the asparagus you want without stinking up the place. One study published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology found that only 46 percent of British people tested produced the odor while 100 percent of French people tested did. LOL…why do I know these weird things you post already? What is wrong with me that I know the reason why pee stinks when you eat asparagus? Why am I even admitting it? Ha!
My husband kept saying that asparagus makes your pee stink…and I always gave him that look like “What? Are you for real?” It’s nice to know that my husband is not the only one with that problem!

You need to go to the store, car wash, post office, etc, anywhere to take a break from that lovely book you are reading. Is your library closed for the winter or what. I really did not need that at 4;41 in the morning. I don’t eat that stuff anyway. Who sniffs pee anyway? I finally found someone crazier than I am. LOL But I luv Ya anyway.

That is funny. We were in Barnes and Noble one day and I was flipping through that book. It had some really interesting questions and some strange answers. Like the effects of pineapple juice on a guy’s “taste”, that was in there too.

I had a friend once who told us “If a guy drinks alot of coffee, you can taste it when you go down on him.” We just stared at him for a minute and then gave him the nickname “Coffee Boy” That name has stuck.

I was never one of those moms that felt the need to sniff a child’s diaper to see if it was wet/poopy, so I’m sure not going to sniff my own or some else’s pee to see if it stinks after they’ve eaten certain foods. But it’s good info, sure. Gonna use it someday.

Haha. I didn’t know that pee smells when you eat asparagus, because I haven’t let a piece of it pass these lips since I was about 4 years old. Good stuff to know though.
I like telling Demian, well all guys that I know that they have boobies and where panties just like chicks, I normaly get wrestled to the ground for that

Anywho…. Thanks for the comment…. Things were going great, until ‘he’ decided to freak out on me again, and end the beautiful thing that we had going. There is so much more behind it, stuff that I just can’t get into right now, it’s too damn hard for me to even think about. So tonight….. a night out with my hommies’ hehehehe…. I said hommies’….. Where I am sure that I will drink myself into an oblivion just to try to hide from the pain. Oh well, at least I know why I’m doing it.

Well, I definantly have the gene. We eat A LOT of asparagus, and I can’t stand to be in the bathroom with myself after I’ve eaten it.

Back in the middle ages, I think there were people called “piss doctors” who would diagnose illness based on pee smell. Or taste…..
Could save a bundle in lab test……….. or maybe not. How much would you have to pay someone to do that today?
I like my hair, eyes and lips….everything else, I won’t mind changing if someone pays for it!

What do I like about myself. I’m told my eyes are nice but I think my hands were my favorite part of me. Unfortunately, they are now showing their age… which I guess just make them ineresting but I prefer them when they were younger.

What do I like about myself? My legs… even though they are chunky, they have a great shape. It just so happens that shape is round. LOL
